VIRGIN KILLER is the Scorpions' fourth studio album, released in late 1976 and, at 35 minutes, is the band's shortest album. It is the second album to be made in collaboration with producer Dieter Dierks and was another step away from the psychedelic influences and towards hard rock. The title VIRGIN KILLER refers to the idea that time is the "killer" of innocence. The album peaked at #32 on the Japanese Albums Chart and was the Scorpions' first album to be certified gold in Japan.
